A welt top is a double thickness of jersey fabric at the top of the leg to promote strength, increase its ability to stay up and to give a cleaner finished look. The tube length guarantees over-the-calf coverage. The sock is a total of 22 inches tall, with 5 inches of stretch nylon top and was manufactured in the USA.
